Name: Teja
Birth date: 2 November 1990
Country of origin: The US
Town Born in: Everett, WA
Race/ancestry: Mostly white, some black-Cherokee-Jewish in places. As I boasted to Maggie once, my bloodline is an endless string of "I don't care what race you are, let's make love, baby!" - from the Cherokee/black, black/Jewish, German/Jewish, Spanish/Irish, white/some unmarried Native chick, to the present which involves my current state of mixed-ness.
Height: Almost 5'2''!
Eye color: Brown. I used to say dark but it actually is quite mapley if you look at it directly in light or something.
Hair color and style: Some shoulder-length strangeness I dyed burgundy a few months ago. I learned what roots are recently. They manage to make your hair look skanky no matter what you do. :S I wish I had some hair powder. I would love that charcoal look.
Skin Tone: A sort of caramel thing. And it's the summer, so I'm darker in places than others.
Tattoos: None.
Eye-sight: Near-sighted. I always wear glasses.
Explain your username: It's a name I made up for a character on my first board ever. She actually wasn't nice, or even glamorously evil, but sort of grubby and petty and unkind and huffy. Why I adopted this for my internet name, I don't know, but it's been me ever since.
Explain your icon: ...oh my god I had forgotten that good lord do I need to change it
That there is a fine, torn-up wedding dress. It is nice. I am so shameless on the internet. >.<
How would you describe your personality?
Introverted. Naturally a competitive little monster, but I suppressed that in order to be some kind of ladylike fiend. The ladylikeness eludes me, however, and instead I am a round-faced thing that is easily overlooked. I must not think highly of myself today.
How would other people describe you?
My friends all tell me I am too critical of myself. They also get crabby sometimes and say I am too critical of everything, whether it be them or things that they like. They also all seem to unaminously think I am more talented, enlightened, brilliant, artistic, and glamorous than I actually am. Seriously, that's been going on since probably forever. The ones that don't really like me think I'm arrogant, which amounts to very much the same thing.
I don't actually mind this assessment, but when I'm trying to convince people I'm a failure or something it gets in the way.
Are you Afraid of anything/have any phobias?
I am terrified of deep water. Anywhere. And I believe in occulty things living in woods but I actually walk around a lot at night anyway.
What’s your favourite physical feature about yourself?
My jawline. My face shape in general. Recently, I've come to love my figure. It will never be androgynous, but once you get around that and try to embrace what it is, which is obscenely feminine, it's all right.
What’s your most hated physical feature about yourself?
My arms, recently, thanks a lot magazines without which I would never think the upper arm could be an object of hatred, and my too-small mouth in a too-wide face, and my height, in particular.
Do you have any physical disabilities/ailments?
Near-sightedness, asthma. Chemical imbalances my mother makes me take her anti-depression pills for, lately. :S
Do you have any SPECIAL/FREAKY Abilities?
Maggie can tie a cherry stem into a knot with her tongue, but I, alas, cannot do much of anything.
Do you have any allergies?
I think so, but they seem recent, which shouldn't be possible.
Are you the first, middle, last, or only child? And who are your siblings?
Oldest, with two younger brothers.
How many cousins do you have? Big family?
Several, but I don't recall them all. Immediately, I have three. One introduced me to the vampire film when I was but a wee one. I am indebted to her.
Do you WANT to have children? If so how many?
See, Virginie's response is peculiar to me in some ways. I hate babies. I think it's when they're two or three that they start to get cute. I never thought about having children much, but I always considered adoption. I just liked the idea of it. Recently I've begun to consider having my own children, but I too think childbirth sounds monstrous (although admittedly for purely vain reasons - look at what happens to your body after. Even though my mom is thin as a rail). I am mostly terrified about what I'd do to a child. What a mother I'd be.
What was your dream job when you were a kid?
Archeologist. I also wanted to be an artist. I was obsessed with dinosaurs and thought it was the best job in the world. I've been attracted to field research things since forever.
What is your dream job now?
I have several things I want to do, but they're not dream job things - teach English in Hungary, be an editor, etc. I'd like to make films some day. And some day sooner (I am a student, after all) I'd like to do some Shakespeare plays. I write mostly.
~*Food*~
What item of food would you eat the most of?
Milk. XD I know it doesn't count.
What is your favourite flavour ever?
I'm not sure. Milk, probably.
Do you like Meat?
No, I don't.
What do you usually eat for Breakfast?
I so rarely get up in time for breakfast! There's almost nothing to eat for it, anyway. Sometimes I make oatmeal or eggs, but I am lazy. If there's fruit, I eat that. Usually, there isn't. This is a large part of why I don't get up for breakfast.
What is your favourite dinner meal?
Potato soup. Or lasagna.
What cuisines do you like best?
Italian.
What foods do you HATE?
I hate standard American fast-food fare. I had some Burger King French fries recently, and though they were good, there was so much salt and grease that I felt queasy immediately afterwards. I also hate typical American barbecue kinds of things - like American pre-packaged slices of cheese and yellow mustard and smushy white bread. Especially altogether; I've had to eat that before, at certain friends' houses who do not have normal block cheese or good mustard. OH. GOD. That is wrong.
And obviously I don't eat meat.
What food can you not resist?
Something with light sugar. Or heavy chocolate, which is rare to find.
What would be your last meal?
I don't want to be able to plan it! That would imply I'd done something awful - and then gotten caught! Oh, no. I won't answer this. XD
Do you like any ‘freaky’ food combinations?
I don't think so. My brother things corn and mashed potatoes are bad together, but I don't. And I eat mushrooms with nearly everything.
~*Clothing/Style*~
What is your general fashion style? (eg: punk, glam, sporty, girly etc)
Like that of a schoolgirl emulating her governness; I'm very into a sapphic aesthetic, I think, with varying elements of Victorian or goth. I do a lot with short skirts or dresses and wear stockings with everything and have a serious crush on Mary Janes. When I am too old for this, aka in my thirties, I suspect I will have a stylish, young, single governness look going on. When I have aged, I will hopefully resemble this lady named Mary Lou who is grey-haired, wears black dresses and hats, and is never without lipstick, who writes in the library all day.
Once I was walking down the street in my possibly old-fashioned attire and saw her. I smiled and nodded; so did she; a group of young men behind her sniggered and said in a high-pitched voice as I passed, "Oh, yes, it's lovely to see you, dearie - " implying that I dress and behave like an old lady. But this is a damn stylish old lady. I was flattered.
What item of clothing do you wear the most?
Well, I suspect it will be a black tank top I just bought because I love it and it goes with everything. But it's probably this one pair of stockings I own since I wear them with everything. xD
Pants or skirts/dresses?
Skirts/dresses, ironically, because I can't find pants that fit or flatter me. I am very petite but have very curvy hips, and this is a pain to dress.
How much of your skin do you like to show/cover up?
I like to show off my neck and collarbone, and also my legs. I like form-fitting clothing much more than I like actually bare skin, which I tend to not like, though.
What items of jewelery do you wear most?
This choker that is metal but has a design of a cameo on it. I love chokers. I also wear the other choker I own a lot - it's a blue gauze ribbon with a silver teddy-bear on it. My friend Virginie made it and sent it me. Molly sent me a grey velvet choker once, and I've tried like hell to find it, but alas, I can't seem to.
What item can you NOT leave your house without?
My bag. Not even really because of anything in it, but I need the bag as though for security reasons. I should get a prettier bag. XD I have had a long string of them.
Hair up or Hair down?
It's usually down. But I pull it back in a low ponytail that doesn't count as up, often, and Molly taught me a trick with a pencil that works very nicely (I found a way to make it work for my hair length! ^_^).
~* Life Style*~
What time do you usually wake up?
Summertime, about 1-ish. If I have a reason to get up, 9 am, without even needing a clock. My internal clock runs very well when I give a damn.
What time do you usually go to sleep?
3 am. If not much later.
How often do you bathe/shower?
Every other day.
Do you exercise regularly?
No.
How often do you go out drinking?
Never. Sometimes I stay in and sip. Molly and I brought wine coolers to the cemetery, if that counts.
What do you do most in your spare time?
I chat. Actually I read a lot nowadays. I started the Discworld series. I hate to say it, but I don't really like it much. It's not bad but it isn't very me. The books pass by very quickly though and I have several friends encouraging me to finish, so that all helps.
Name your hobbies:
Singing, song-writing, writing, clothes. XD
How many pets have you had in your life?
A lot. Oh, more than I could count, surely. We've had generations and generations of cats, tons of dogs and ferrets and guinea pigs and rabbits and rats and hamsters, several fish, and an iguana, in my time.
How many houses have you lived in in your life?
Several when I was little, one of which my father built. Then we moved out to NY, and there have been... um.... four here.
What sort of ‘vehicle’ do you own?
My parents have a big van which fits a double bass. We need a smaller car.
What’s your current job?
Student.

Cultures: Chinese, lately. For some reason or other. French, in general, for a long time. All of it kind of distantly. I love the Norsemen. All the ancient peoples were barbaric, but these ones don't seem fundamentally disturbed to me like some people do.

Style of music: Renaissance things and 12th century church music, Celtic music that is not abominable, folk music, chansons from the 50s (I am trying to find more Jacques Brel and failing. Obviously, I love Piaf), trying to find more baroque music and suchlike.... um. The only modern music I really get into these days is either electronic, done with pianos, or Kate Bush.

Weight: Slender
Body shape: Slender
Hair colour/style: I've fallen for two dark-haired girls, a pale blond, and a redhead. I think I just like people to suit a type.
